Regarding Landslide Public Safety, site visit indicates that the downslope residence is not located on a debris fan, therefore the residence is located outside the FRA; no Landslide Public safety rules are applicable. Waiting period is waived for all portions of the unit outside of 50 feet from the main channel of the stream that runs through the unit.

Office review complete; two concerns noted. A small Type F stream runs through the unit; a Written Plan is required which describes protections if operations will occur within 50 feet of the stream. Also, office review indicates that High Landslide Hazard Locations are present within the unit and a residence is located down-gradient. Based on office review, the residence is located outside of the administratively defined Further Review Area (FRA), but may be positioned on a debris fan in which case the FRA would be extended to the position of the residence. This situation will be evaluated by the Southern Oregon Area geotechnical specialist.
