State law requires that, on units greater than 25 acres, wildlife trees consisting of two green trees or snags per acre at least 30 feet in height and 11 inches DBH along with two downed logs or downed trees per acre to be retained within the harvest area. At least 50% of leave trees and down wood must be conifer. A written plan is required if operating within 100 feet of the Willamette River.
