The harvest unit in the notification is adjacent to a previously harvested area on the same ownership amounting to a clearcut area over 25 acres. State law requires that wildlife trees consisting of two green trees or snags per acre at least 30 feet in height and 11 inches DBH along with two downed logs or downed trees per acre to be retained within the harvest area. At least 50% of leave trees and down wood must be conifer.
