Please be aware that compliance with the Forest Practices Act is not in lieu of compliance with any federal requirements related to the federal Endangered Species Act. Federal law prohibits a person from taking marbled murrelets. Landowners and operators are encouraged to communicate directly with the USFWS regarding requirements under the federal Endangered Species Act.
