Plan for alternate practice approved for removal of large BLM tree next to bridge. Removal of tree is for hazard reduction, and to allow for passage of log loads across bridge. Removing this tree will prevent the need for future fording of the stream with equipment.

Discussed and approved the use of an existing (farm) low water crossing (ford) located downstream of the Howell bridge. The in-stream work period is June 1 - September 30. The use of the ford will consist of 3 pieces of heavy equipment for 2 crossings (over & back) during the in-stream work period only. Per phone call with DJ Dober this day. Thank you!

Road drainage problems need to be addressed if hauling is to take place during wet weather operations. Stream crossings must follow temporary stream crossing requirements.

Reviewed by Stewardship Forester K. Nelson 02/02/17. Pre-operation with landowner earlier in winter. Recommend a pre-harvest meeting with ODF prior to operations. Some areas are steep and stream crossings may be necessary.
