    A written plan is required prior to operations within 100 feet of the listed type-f streams. A waiver of the 15 day waiting period has been granted for operations greater than 100 feet of the listed type-f streams.

    Operations are within 1/2 mile of Northern Spotted Owl, written plan is not required. However be advised, compliance with Forest Practices Act rules for spotted owls is not in lieu of compliance with any federal requirements related to the federal Endangered Species Act. Federal law prohibits a person from taking northern spotted owls. Taking under the federal law may include significant alteration of owl habitat on any class of land ownership. ODF encourages landowners to consult with the USFWS with regards to compliance with the federal ESA.
