    If you intend to burn slash from your logging operation, you will need to file another notification for slash treatment and then file a smoke management registration with the Western Lane Office in Veneta. Once those are submitted, you will need to call 541-285-8671 to obtain verbal permission from the smoke management team before you burn.

    If any part of your operation is not complete by the end of the current calendar year, you will need to submit in writing to the Western Lane District office a request to continue it into 2022. The window of time to request a continuation is between December 15 and February 28, but you are not allowed to work in the new year until your request is received by our office.
