Notifier Comment

Please note that this is a Revision to the original NOAP Cody Coons Submitted (2021-740-02848). The Shape is slightly different, but I used a GPS along the entire boundary. There is approximately 20 acres of standing timber remaining. I also added the current operator (Don Porter). I plan to edit his profile in FERNS once I have his email and EIN number.

The harvest area notified is within the area regulated for Sudden Oak Death (SOD) as per OAR 603-052-1230. As of the date of this comment, the area is outside the Generally Infected Area but a portion is within 300 feet of a known infested site. No harvest and transport of Tanoak is allowed within one quarter mile of a known infestation and the harvest of other species within 300 feet of known infested SOD trees require that the logs be free of needles and soil. Please see the attached proximity map and guide for information on harvesting within the Quarantine Area and contact either Randy Wiese, ODF SOD Program, at randall.s.wiese@oregon.gov (541) 294-8425 or, Casara Nichols, ODF SOD Program, at casara.c.nichols@oregon.gov (541) 435-5031 for any questions or further information on the areas affected by the quarantine restrictions.
