The previously harvested area adjacent to the notification boundary was never planted and is in violation of OAR 629-610-0040(3). Conducting the harvest under this notification would result in a violation of ORS. 527.740 (2) which would exceed the 120 acre clearcut limit because the previously clearcut area in violation was close to 120 acres. The small unit near the highway also has high landslide hazard locations that would need further review from a geologist to assess downslope public safety risk. Call stewardship forester with questions.

The harvest area is over 25 acres. State law requires that wildlife trees consisting of two green trees or snags per acre at least 30 feet in height and 11 inches DBH along with two downed logs or downed trees per acre to be retained within the harvest area. At least 50% of leave trees and down wood must be conifer.
