Notification reviewed. These units are adjacent to previously harvested areas on the same ownership amounting to a clearcut area over 25 acres. State law requires that wildlife trees consisting of two green trees or snags per acre at least 30 feet in height and 11 inches DBH along with two downed logs or downed trees per acre to be retained within the harvest area. At least 50% of leave trees and down wood must be conifer. This is combined total contiguous acres of past and present harvest units, if leave trees were not left for the previous harvest units then they will have to be allocated somewhere within these harvest units.
