With a further review of the Osprey nest site, ODF has determined the nest status to be abandoned due to a lack of a visible nest and presence of trees or snags capable of having an osprey nest in the last five years from the field observations of the ODF Biologist and myself on 3/25/20. Although the nest site is considered abandoned, it is the responsibility of the operator to monitor and protect the nest site should the site become occupied throughout the operation per OAR 629-665-0110 (2). Stream associated wetlands may be present within the notified area of operation. An additional 25’ buffer is required should wetland characteristics extend beyond the typed riparian buffer normally required for stream protection. Should fish be present within the identified area, a written plan and map is required and the operation would then be subject to a waiting period. QAC
